Dear Berwyn Resident:

          Thank You For The Privilege Of Representing You In Berwyn City Government.

       You elected yourself Alderman when you elected me to represent you on the city council. I have been asking the same questions you would be asking if you were Alderman. The things that have made me angry are the same things that would make you angry.

           I took advantage of an unexpected opportunity to run for 8th Ward Alderman because I wanted to see what was going on at city hall. As an average Berwyn resident, I could see that the politicians were doing quite well for themselves but we, as Berwyn residents, were always left paying the bill.

In 2005 you voted for "change". I have been monitoring how successful we have been in delivering change. I think you will be surprised to examine the "report card" that
I will be delivering to you over the next several months

For me, the question was clear.

Is the time and money spent on a political campaign an investment in better government or an investment in city hall? Residents wanting to believe the promises made during election campaigns often get trapped by yet another group of opportunists who are only interested in claiming the power that victory provides. My report card will identify those opportunists.

Join me as I share with you my experiences as an official elected to represent you in City Government. Join me in this effort to take Berwyn out of the dark ages of mayoral machine politics and political payoffs.

New City Website
Those of you familiar with my original "BerwynFirst" website read about a proposal for a new, relevant and user-friendly website. The time and cost efficiency of being able to provide residents with vital city services via the internet is obvious to most everyone. The new website is "up and running" and I believe you will like what you see. Of course, many specific features remain in development and, as with all websites, it will continue to always be a "work in progress.

I Have Kept All Of My Promises To You

You said you wanted an Alderman who would demand fair, honest and open city government and who wanted to fight corruption in city government.

You said you wanted an Alderman who would not "go along to get along" and become entrenched
in politics as usual.

I voted against a laundry list of patronage appointments at the new administration's very first city council meeting on May 10, 2005.

I have consistently voted against proposals to transfer millions of tax dollars to the politically connected. You won't believe what you see when I show you the facts.
